My name is Jo Summers and I started J Summers Consulting Ltd after a chance conversation with a friend who runs a very successful Pilates studio. She mentioned that she really needed help with the day to day running of the business, social media and general logistics as she was busy teaching Pilates. The business had grown but not enough to employ a full time marketing or office manager. This got me thinking about how many other small business must be in a similar situation. I had just finished a fixed term maternity contract in financial services as an event manager and was contemplating my next role so J Summers Consulting was born.
I have over 20 years of events experience in the charity /not for profit (medical and education) sector and financial services. Running events encompasses project management, managing people and budgets, including logistics and marketing the events. I have also stream lined events and put in place procedures to ensure smooth running of a department and have a good understanding of how to cut costs without detracting from the customer experience. So I am well placed to share my expertise and make real difference to how you run your small business.
It also helps that I am not an expert in your business so I am able to take a step back and so bring a fresh perspective.
